Platinum provide a unique distribution service for all of our customers. Utilising our ten strategically located Customer Support Centres across the UK, we are able to offer up to five deliveries per week, with no Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ).
Throughout the course of the year, Platinum will have up to 70 of our own vehicles on the road, delivering orders and collecting any warranties or scrap from our customers.
We believe our people are the real difference in our logistics solution, in today’s world of outsourced logistics services. Our Customer Support Centre teams and Platinum drivers are fully invested and committed to delivering a Platinum service; right first time, every time by people who really care about making us an easy company to do business with!
Our cumulative warehouse capacity across our ten Platinum Customer Support Centres is 115,000ft2 and continues to grow to support the increase in our service level and our customer base. Our network of nine Platinum Customer Support Centres hold over 300,000 units in stock at any given time and we operate up to a 16hr day warehousing operation.
To support our tightly managed warehousing and stock control, it is imperative that we have the right team in place to manage the stock correctly.
All of our stock is managed utilising our bespoke FIFO management system, developed by our in house I.T. team. Unlike most components, batteries are a ‘living’ product, losing charge from the moment they are manufactured. Our unique system monitors this and ensures all stock is refreshed, if required, prior to delivery. This all means that your order leaves in the best possible state of charge.
Having the right people in place sees Platinum achieve a near perfect ‘Pick Rate’ of over 99%. Our ambassadors are constantly working hard to ensure that you receive your goods when you asked for them and in the state which you would expect.
Should a customer feel that there is an issue with any of the products we deliver, our logistics team will collect the units, return them to the Platinum Customer Support Centre and undertake an in-house warranty test. This allows us to establish first-hand how we can best help our customers.
At Platinum International, we recognise the importance of addressing environmental sustainability and, as such, are dedicated to reducing environmental impacts in the manufacture, distribution, use, and disposal of our products.
We provide a ‘cradle to grave’ solution for our customers; not only do we supply the latest start-stop batteries, specifically designed to reduce the vehicle’s CO2 emissions and carbon footprint, but we also focus on recovering the old ‘replaced battery’ and recycling it via our legally compliant, environmentally friendly, Platinum ECO-Life scheme.
