Mobil 1 Engine Oils
Mobil 1 is truly a global formulation engine oil, exceeding the latest standards of the oil industry and vehicle manufacturers. For instance, the appropriate grades of Mobil 1 exceed European ACEA standards and API Service SM / CF as well as meeting rigorous car manufacturer standards, for example, Mobil 1 New Life™ 0W-40 is approved against Mercedes-Benz’s demanding 229.5 specification, and Mobil 1™ ESP 0W-40 has been approved to GM’s dexos2™ standard.
Mobil 1 Synthetic Lubricants
The performance of synthetic oils, and in particular Mobil 1, is more robust, especially in terms of low temperature pumpability and high temperature stability and protection against deposits. These attributes translate directly into less engine wear, increased fuel economy and longer engine life.
Proof of Performance
To test and prove the capabilities of Mobil 1™ synthetic motor oil, ExxonMobil lubricant engineers administered a series of tests simulating grueling real-world conditions. To ensure the validity of the results, Mobil then invited third-party engine rater Gordon Farnsworth to evaluate the test engine. Here are the findings.
Mobil™ has been keeping people and machines moving since before the first gasoline-powered automobile. From the Wright brothers’ first flight to the launch of the space station, from the first automobiles to the latest Grand Prix cars, Mobil oils have been continuously keeping millions of vehicles performing at their best.
